Bachelor's Button - Centaurea Cyanus 'Cornflower' 

These bright blue blooms are so very European and cute as a button one might say. Traditionally named a cornflower weed and now a prized cottage garden essential. Often used as an ingredient in some tea blends and herbal teas, and as famous in the Lady Grey blend of Twinings. They grow in clusters getting up to 60cm tall. For thicker more compact plants, cut the flowering stems often and enjoy them growing back all season for both you and the bees.
